What is XBRL in Kuwait?
XBRL is a standard for financial data that software can read. Tags give a figure meaning: for example, whether it is revenue or an asset, the reporting period and the currency. It is not one particular software product. Having an XBRL file does not mean the figures are audited or accepted by a filing authority.
Is a PDF or Excel file the same as XBRL?
No. A PDF presents a document for a person to read; XBRL data uses tags from a defined taxonomy so software can interpret it. Renaming a file extension does not create an XBRL report. This tool asks you to enter figures from your records; it does not automatically import a PDF or Excel workbook.
Is XBRL Kuwait the Ministry’s filing system?
No. This is an independent preparation and conversion service. We do not access the Ministry portal for you, submit a filing or provide an audit opinion. The current product prepares an income statement, balance sheet and preparation notes in PDF, plus an XBRL data file. Check the scope and missing parts with your accountant before buying. Qayd acceptance has not been established.
How can I use the tool before paying?
Gather annual income and expenses and year-end balances, then complete eight guided sections. See your progress and a partial draft halfway through. After completing the form, review your figures and a limited watermarked preview. If there is a balance difference, use the explanation and correction links. Previewing is free; downloads follow confirmed payment of 39 KWD for one financial year, with no subscription.
Can I prepare a U.S., Saudi, UAE or Canadian company here?
The current route is for a Kuwait company’s figures in KWD; it does not provide those countries’ domestic filing packages. If you are abroad working on a Kuwait company, check the overseas suitability guide. A shared format name does not make files interchangeable between filing authorities.
